The Homeless Outreach Psychiatric Service (HOPS) provides comprehensive mental health assessment, treatment and support to adult clients who are experiencing mental health issues and are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
What we do
Our team provides:
- psychiatric assessment and treatment
- clinical case management
- family and carer support
- specialist allied health interventions
We work in partnership with you, your family and the community to reduce the impact of mental illness, improve your quality of life and promote your recovery. We aim to deliver excellent quality care that is accessible to all and sensitive to the diversity of our community.
We also work in partnership with local homeless services Sacred Heart Mission and Launch South Bank to provide secondary consultation and assessment to clients that are accessing their services.
Who we care for
Clients are aged between 18-64 years and live within the Alfred Psychiatry catchment area. This includes the City of Port Phillip, City of Stonnington, part of the City of Glen Eira as well as part of the City of Melbourne, predominantly the Southbank area.
