Providing leading healthcare for the people of Melbourne and Victoria.
Our services & clinics
Volunteer Kate Pointon knows what it’s like to be a patient on the Neurosurgery ward at The Alfred – it’s where she spent three months last year recovering from a brain aneurysm. Now, she’s one of the first “Host Volunteers”, providing patients on the Neurosurgery and Trauma wards with companionship and conversation.
As we recognise International Nurses Day on Sunday 12th (the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth) we celebrate all of our nurses at Alfred Health and the vital role they play in delivering quality healthcare to our communities.
The Alfred burns team has launched a new web resource designed to help regional clinicians care for patients with severe burns, once they return home.
This international one-day course is aimed at providing health care personnel with the skills and knowledge to manage the patient in the immediate period of crisis. The program covers the recognition, assessment and immediate management of the critically ill and deteriorating patient.
Come along to our informal evening to find out about the Alfred Health Graduate Nurse Programs (General and Mental Health).
