The Alfred Mental and Addiction Health (AMAH) Lived Experience Symposium is an innovative, half-day hybrid event. It showcases the vibrancy of our Lived and Living Experience workforce and community to the Victorian mental health sector.

Event date

11 September 2024, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Event location

Conversation Quarter, Entry 3, State Library Victoria, 328 Swanston St, Melbourne.

At this inaugural event, we will explore and celebrate AMAH’S journey to establish, grow and integrate Lived and Living Experience workforce development and participation.

Part 1 Setting the Scene: Hear from keynote speaker Dr Louise Byrne, an internationally-recognised academic and thought leader in Lived Experience workforce development, and lead author of AMAH's Lived Experience Workforce Framework. Dr Byrne will also engage in a dynamic panel discussion with AMAH’s peer workforce.

Part 2 Lived Experience in Action: Be inspired by six in-person experiential sessions designed to bring the authenticity of lived experience to life. Or try our online program, dc Bites, offering bite-sized highlights from AMAH's youth discovery college.
