Dr Trevor Ackerly
Dr Trevor Ackerly is the Chief Physicist and Medical Physicist Manager at Alfred Health Radiation Oncology.
Dr Ackerly has been a Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist for 31 years, having previously worked at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Austin Hospital and Launceston General Hospital.
He gained his PhD and Masters through RMIT, and his undergraduate physics degree through the University of Melbourne.
He is a recipient of the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine Distinguished Service Award and is Chair of the ACPSEM Radiation Oncology Medical Physics Certification Panel.
He has published over 50 papers on a wide variety of Radiotherapy Physics topics with 1100 citations, including stereotactic radiotherapy, nanoparticles and positron emission tomography images in radiotherapy.
