Clinical Thrombosis
We care for patients with blood clots in their veins, within Melbourne and regional Victoria.
What we do
Blood cots usually form in the leg and are called deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Blood clots can break loose and travel up to the lungs, called a pulmonary embolism (PE).
We aim to treat blood clots to reduce the risk of the blood clots travelling to the lungs.
Who we care for
As well as people with DVT and pulmonary embolism (PE), we also care for patients with blood clots in veins in unusual areas that require further testing for tendencies to form blood clots.
