Mrs Carolyn Naismith
Carolyn is the Clinical Services Director for the Heart and Lung Program at Alfred Health.
Carolyn is an established nursing leader, both at Alfred Health and in the sector. She is strongly motivated to make a lasting difference by exploring and influencing new and collaborative systems and processes, that improve outcomes for patients and teams by championing principles of value-based healthcare in equitable systems of care. Carolyn is committed to providing development opportunities for all staff, bringing out their best and making them feel they belong to a health care service that cares for them too.
Carolyn applies many years of cardiac nursing expertise in this Nursing Leadership and Operational Role, and in March 2020, graduated from a Harvard Medical School course in Healthcare Leadership and Strategy among a group of mid-career professionals from the Asia-Pacific region, further developing her knowledge of contemporary leadership models and management frameworks.
Carolyn holds a Masters of Clinical Nursing from Latrobe University and is regularly invited to conduct reviews of Cardiology services in Australia.
