This study is seeking adults who are currently on a biologic therapy for their chronic plaque psoriasis and are classified as overweight/obese. The study aims to investigate whether starting semaglutides after stopping biologic therapy can maintain disease remission in this patient population. Eligible participants will be followed over one year and need to attend the Alfred Hospital for at least 10 visits over this time. Blood samples, quality of life questionnaires and assessments will be undertaken at each of these visits.

Key inclusion data

18-75 years of age with chronic plaque psoriasis Overweight or obese (BMI ≥27 kg/m2) On biologic therapy for ≥6 months with complete or near complete response Must be able to self inject medication and not have used GLP-1 receptor agonists or other obesity medications recently
