100 percent of the class, pass!

Congratulations to our Alfred Health basic physician trainees, all of whom have passed their Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) clinical examinations.
Training Program Director of Physician Education A/Prof Anne Powell said the results are a testament to their hard work and mutual support.
“This cohort has been particularly supportive of each other since they commenced basic training over two years ago,” A/Prof Powell said.
“It has been a delight to see them flourish and succeed.”
The 32 trainees were supported throughout their studies by a village of clinical staff and volunteer patients, who gave their time to running weekly long and short cases and taking part in dedicated teaching sessions.
“We had 90 clinical educators and over 220 patients come in from home to help train this large cohort of doctors on Wednesdays and weekends,” A/Prof Powell said.
"Their generosity is very much appreciated by all the teaching team and our registrars.”
Alfred Health Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Kambourakis congratulated the trainees on their achievements.
“This is an amazing result, my warmest congratulations to all our trainees,” Dr Kambourakis said.
“I would also like to pass on my thanks and appreciation for the dedication of our physician educators, clinical teams, Medical Workforce Unit and Outpatients program.
"It is a real team effort and demonstrates the strength of our culture of training, support and professional development at Alfred Health."
A/Prof Powell said while she is very pleased with the pass rate, she is most proud of each trainee’s skill, dedication and level of care to the patients they serve.
“We will look with great interest at where their careers continue to take them,” A/Prof Powell said.
