Mr Frederick Huynh

BSc (Hons), MBBS (Hons), FRACS

Frederick is a general surgeon specialising in liver, biliary and pancreatic (HPB) surgery.

Originally from Brisbane, he earned his medical degree with First Class Honours from The Australian National University, Canberra. Frederick was awarded his FRACS in 2016 and completed a rural fellowship with Bendigo Health before completing a HPB Fellowship with the Australian & Aotearoa New Zealand HPB Association (AANZHPBA).

His fellowship included training at The Alfred Hospital and overseas with the HPB Unit at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. He also undertook an observership at Severance Hospital in South Korea, focussing on robotic and advanced laparoscopic HPB surgery before returning to Australia.

Frederick is a member of the HPB Service, Major Trauma Service and Acute General Surgery Unit (AGSU) at The Alfred. He has an interest in regional health delivery and is a staff specialist at Bendigo Hospital.
