Dr Nicholas Bingham

Dr Nick Bingham is a clinical and laboratory consultant haematologist at Bayside Health.

Nick completed his medical degree at the University of Tasmania. He completed his basic physician and advanced haematology training in Melbourne across Alfred Health, Monash Health and Peninsula Health and has previously worked in clinics in Gippsland and Frankston.

He has a clinical interest in multiple myeloma and plasma cell disorders, and attends the plasma cell disorder clinic, alongside a broader passion for all aspects of laboratory haematology.

He also has a strong interest in translational research, having completed his PhD with Monash University in 2023. He is currently an adjunct Research Fellow in the Myeloma Research Group at the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases, where his research focuses on extramedullary disease in patients with multiple myeloma, a particularly aggressive manifestation, aiming to understand its biology and identify novel treatment approaches, utilising cutting-edge research techniques and multi-omic approaches including genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics.
