Dr Doen Ming Ong
Ming is a haematologist at Bayside Health.
After graduating from Melbourne University and completing physician training at Austin and Northern Health, Ming trained in clinical and laboratory haematology through Alfred, Monash and Western Health services. Her subsequent PhD work focused on developing preclinical models to understand how acute myeloid leukaemia evolves under therapeutic pressure, to help researchers optimise treatment strategies for this challenging disease. At The Alfred, she enjoys being part of the clinical team caring for people with acute leukaemia’s and myeloid disorders, as well as the laboratory team reporting on diagnostic haematology tests.
