Physiotherapy: New Graduate Program

Alfred Health incorporates The Alfred, Caulfield Hospital and Sandringham Hospital. There are 32 exciting and challenging four-month rotations on offer across the three campuses.

Our Physiotherapy service is committed to excellence in the provision of physiotherapy care, while maintaining a relaxed and professional team environment. A traumatic brain injury in July 2017 left 48-year-old Mark unable to move or communicate. After eighteen months of care and support from Alfred Health staff, along with his own strength and determination, Mark is now active and social, and he’s been invited back to hospital to mentor other patients.
This two day introductory course provides physiotherapists who are new to ICU, or returning to ICU, with an overview of the knowledge and skills required to safely and effectively work as a physiotherapist in the challenging ICU environment. The course provides a combination of lectures and practicals, delivered by senior physiotherapists with extensive clinical , education and research experience in ICU.
