Amina Briggs is a Boonwurrung, Ugar and Erub artist whose work reflects the experiences of First Peoples in contemporary Australia. Through her distinctive artistic style, she invites reflection, fosters meaningful dialogue, and celebrates the enduring strength of Indigenous cultures. As the artist behind The Story of the Garden mural, Amina has created a work that captures the cultural significance of the Indigenous Garden and its role in fostering connection to Country, community and wellbeing.

"The painting tells the story of the Indigenous Garden, drawing on its design and gathering spaces. The diamond patterns reflect the pathways that weave through the landscape, linking people and place. At the centre, the circular form represents both the sun and the yarning circle, symbolising warmth, gathering, and connection. Watching over the space is Bundjil, creator and protector, whose presence reflects care, balance, and the enduring cultural significance of Country."
