Mr Damien Milloy

BN — Nurse Manager, Ward 3 East

Damien is a seasoned nursing leader with over 25 years of experience.

Since joining Alfred Health in 2000, he has worked across a variety of clinical specialties, including emergency, general surgery, trauma and orthopaedics.

Over the past five years, he has served as a Nurse Manager within The Alfred’s Heart & Lung Program. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Damien managed the respiratory ward for one year, providing leadership through an exceptionally challenging period. Since 2021, he has led Ward 3 East, which encompasses both the cardiology and cardiothoracic teams. Damien has a strong professional interest in post-surgical and post-interventional nursing care.

Outside of his nursing career, Damien volunteers as a firefighter with the Country Fire Authority and brings extensive leadership experience in emergency management. His dedication has been recognised with the National Emergency Medal for his service during the 2009 and 2020 bushfires, as well as the National Medal for sustained service.
