Alfred Health appoints Chief Operating Officer

Chief Executive Prof Andrew Way has announced the appointment of Dr Tim Sinclair as Alfred Health’s new Chief Operating Officer.

For the past five years Dr Sinclair has been the General Manager of Concord Hospital in Sydney, a 750-bed tertiary hospital affiliated with the University of Sydney. He has also acted as the Director of Operations for the Sydney Local Health District and worked in several other senior health positions in New South Wales over the past decade.

Dr Sinclair, who will commence his new role next month, said he is delighted to have the opportunity to make a positive difference at one of Victoria’s leading health services.

Prof Way said that Dr Sinclair will be responsible for the management and performance of Alfred Health’s clinical operations.
 

“Dr Sinclair brings a wealth of experience and his skills will be of great benefit to Alfred Health and, most importantly, to our patients,” Prof Way said.

Dr Sinclair has a background in Health Information Management and has a Masters in Health Services Management and a Doctorate in Business Administration.
