La Roche-Posay partners with The Alfred Foundation and Alfred Cancer to launch ‘All of You’
The Alfred Foundation welcomes La Roche-Posay as the founding partner of All of You, a new partnership initiative supporting wellness and integrative care at Alfred Cancer. All of You brings together Alfred Cancer and corporate partners to enhance wellbeing for people affected by cancer through education, collaboration and support for holistic care
La Roche-Posay, the No. 1 dermatologist-recommended skincare brand in Australia, has become the founding partner of All of You – a new partnership initiative led by The Alfred Foundation in collaboration with Alfred Cancer, designed to enhance wellness and holistic care for people affected by cancer.
The initiative brings together The Alfred – one of Australia’s largest teaching and research hospitals known for its pioneering approach to next-generation cancer care – and La Roche-Posay, which has a 50-year heritage in skincare and skin-health innovation. Together they aim to improve the wellbeing and quality of life of cancer patients in Australia.
Developed to complement Alfred Cancer’s integrative approach to treating the whole person as well as the disease, All of You supports programs and partnerships that promote wellbeing alongside traditional cancer treatments. Through this collaboration, La Roche-Posay will work with Alfred Cancer experts to help address the specific skin-related challenges faced by patients – such as skin toxicity, a common side-effect of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and immunotherapy.
Penelope Thornett, Managing Director of L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty, said:
“At La Roche-Posay we are committed to helping cancer patients improve their skin comfort and quality of life. Skin is more than skin – it’s a matter of public health, and by partnering with Alfred Cancer we can enhance the role skin health and wellbeing play in patient care and recovery.”
La Roche-Posay has led studies with more than 11,000 patients worldwide on the impact of cancer treatment on the skin. Through its global Fight With Care campaign – launched in Australia in 2023 – the brand raises awareness about dermatological side-effects of cancer treatment, educates healthcare professionals and the public, and shares expertise on caring for skin to support better quality of life.
As part of All of You, La Roche-Posay will provide education for healthcare professionals, including nurses, oncologists, haematologists, allied-health specialists, dermatologists and pharmacists. The partnership will also deliver support kits, products and education sessions for patients and carers – with a goal of assisting 300 patients and training 150 health-care professionals in the first year.
Professor Victoria Mar, Director of the Victorian Melanoma Service at The Alfred and member of the advisory board for the Fight With Care campaign, said:
“More than three-quarters of cancer patients experience skin side-effects from treatment. These can be so severe that patients halt or delay therapy, even though they can often be mitigated through simple skincare protocols. Education on minimising these effects is crucial to ensuring patient care is truly all-inclusive.”
The partnership complements the existing Minderoo Foundation Wellness Centre – a healing and supportive space for patients, families and carers within The Alfred’s Paula Fox Melanoma and Cancer Centre. The Integrative Oncology and Wellness Program offers a range of holistic mind-body therapies including mindfulness, yoga, pilates, massage, music and art therapy, allied-health exercise programs and oncology-safe beauty and makeup advice.
‘All of You’ is a partnership framework led by The Alfred Foundation to expand opportunities for corporate and philanthropic collaboration in wellness and integrative care at The Alfred.
