Dr Julian Gooi
Cardiothoracic Surgeon
Julian Gooi is a Cardiothoracic and Transplant surgeon working at The Alfred in Victoria, Australia. He has a more than 15 years’ experience in Cardiothoracic and Transplant surgery and is one of the lead surgeons in the Paediatric lung transplant service.
Dr Gooi completed his surgical training at The Alfred in 2005 and then undertook a Fellowship in Papworth Hospital, Cambridge UK in 2006 before commencing as a Surgeon at The Alfred in 2007. He performs Cardiac and Thoracic surgery but has a special interest in Thoracic oncology, management of thoracic trauma, surgical management of COPD and lung transplantation.
