Adj Prof Simone Alexander
Simone is a senior health service executive with over 30 years’ experience in public healthcare. She is Chief Executive of Alfred Care Group, Bayside Health, and is responsible for the management and performance of Alfred Care Group and its workforce of close to 12,000 staff.
Before the merger, Simone was the Interim Chief Executive at Bass Coast while continuing to serve as Alfred Health’s Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer.
As a Registered Nurse, Simone has an extensive clinical background in perioperative nursing. She is recognised for her strategic, people-centred leadership and her ability to lead large, complex organisations through transformation. Simone is deeply committed to improving patient outcomes, supporting workforce wellbeing, and fostering inclusive, high-performance cultures.
She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, an experienced Non-Executive Director, and holds postgraduate qualifications in health administration and clinical nursing, alongside an Executive Leadership Certificate at Harvard University.
