Australian health authorities are requesting anyone who has been in mainland China on or after 1 February 2020, and those who have been in Hubei province, to self-isolate at home for 14 days after leaving the area.
Alfred Health has extensive processes in place to safely assess and manage any patients with viral infections, including the recent novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV). Currently there are no confirmed cases at Alfred Health.
Do you feel unwell?
The novel coronavirus can cause fever, breathing difficulties, cough, sore throat and tiredness. If you have any of these symptoms and you have been in mainland China in the past two weeks please call the dedicated Victorian Government hotline on 1800 675 398.

Who is at risk?
This virus appears to affect older people, particularly those with chronic illness.
In line with our standard infectious diseases procedure, any persons wih viral respiratory infections are isolated. Patients and visitors can attend The Alfred, Caulfield and Sandringham Hospitals as normal.
