Father’s Day Appeal Ambassador Julian Irvine
Father's Day ambassador Julian Irvine shares his story.
The Alfred is grateful to Julian and his family for getting behind The Father's Day Appeal.
In his late 20s Julian Irvine was diagnosed with cardio myopathy, a disease of the heart which runs in his family, killing his great uncle at just 42.
With the help of significant medical interventions, Julian survived for four years with his own heart however, after suffering a heart attack, Julian needed a new heart and he was put on the transplant list.
This year at just 33 years-old the father of four received a new heart, which was just in the nick of time, only five weeks before his twin baby girls were born!
