We provide fast and accessible access to radiation oncology at Alfred Health. We have outpatient clinics at seven sites in metropolitan Melbourne and southeast Victoria where you can see a radiation oncologist doctor to discuss treatment plans and monitor your progress. We also offer radiation therapy treatment at two sites – The Alfred and Latrobe Regional Hospital.

• No out of pocket costs

If you are a Medicare holder, all of your consultations and radiation therapy treatments at Alfred Health Radiation Oncology will be bulk billed. This means your care will be covered by Medicare and you won’t need to worry about out-of-pocket costs.
If you are not a Medicare holder, or are a patient from overseas, we offer payment plan options. Speak to our staff before your consultation about how we can help you set this up.

The Alfred Health Radiation Oncology service are leaders in the field. We provide world-class radiation therapy planning and treatment delivery including stereotactic radiotherapy, prostate brachytherapy and surface guided imaging.
At AHRO we employ the latest technology. This ensures we are at the fore-front of radiation therapy treatment, providing the best advice, treatment and follow-up for our patients. Both of our locations also have dedicated superficial x-ray therapy (SXRT) machines for the treatment of skin cancers. Some of our achievements to date include;
