Research training
Training is an essential element of research governance. Anyone involved in research should have training commensurate with their involvement and the type of research they plan to conduct.
Alfred Health provides opportunities for training and continuing education sessions in ethics and research conduct. Various workshops and forums are held throughout the year. These are advertised via the News Round, this website and by email.
Researchers can also contact the Office of Ethics and Research Governance for individual appointments to discuss their ethics applications. The staff are also available to present topics at departmental meetings upon request.
GCP training
Monash Partners offers Good Clinical Practice (Accredited ICH GCP) training to paid employees of the Monash Partners organisations.
There are two courses: Introduction to Good Clinical Practice Training (in-person) and Good Clinical Practice Refresher (online).
See Monash Partners Education and Training for dates, eligibility and registration information.
Other training
Other hospital departments may provide education sessions that are useful for research.
Visit the Alfred Health Clinical Trials and Research SharePoint page and see the LEX training opportunities.
