Pharmacy team share their knowledge
Our dedicated Pharmacy team are looking to share their expertise with their pharmacy peers across Australia and beyond with the launch of an innovative Pharmacy Learning and Development Hub.
The online Learning and Development Hub has been designed to host a series of education programs, which will be available for a fee to pharmacists both nationally and internationally.
Two accredited courses are currently available, with further programs set to be launched in the near future.
Alfred Health Senior Education Pharmacist Nikki Cresswell said the initial programs provide support to pharmacists looking to transition into clinical pharmacy or intensive care pharmacy practice.
“Our pharmacy team has paired the expertise of practicing clinicians with that of specialised education pharmacists to develop structured programs of the utmost quality.
“Through the delivery of these programs, we intend to support development throughout the wider pharmacy profession with the focal aim of optimising medication management nationally and internationally.
Lead Education Pharmacist Elira Menxhiqi said there is also the opportunity for hands-on learning.
“As a major tertiary referral teaching hospital, we have the unique ability to offer participants the opportunity to translate the new knowledge and skills taught in the online components of these courses into practice by providing them with the option to partake in ‘hands-on’ learning experiences.
