It's that time of the year when we salute dad!
The Alfred's Fathers' Day Appeal is helping to keep families together. The Appeal champions' men's health issues and strives to improve the health and well being of all Victorians.
Most of The Alfred's admissions last year were men, including:

65% of heart attack emergencies

67% of people rushed to the Trauma Centre with life-threatening conditions

65% of road accident victims

70% of burns victims

81% of people with sports injuries.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, our Fathers' Day Appeal is now The Alfred's biggest annual fundraising event - having previously raised money for the purchase of life saving equipment and contributing to vital projects, including the new Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the redevelopment of the hospital's Burns Unit.
