Description of Service
The Alfred Foundation was established as the fundraising arm of The Alfred in 1993 to assist the Hospital in its endeavours to ensure excellent service and care for all patients that come through its doors.
Thanks to the dedicated support of donors and volunteers, The Alfred Foundation successfully raises more than $10 million dollars each year.
This funding is directly used to enhance facilities at The Alfred, which in turn enables the hospital to treat the sickest of the sick and ultimately, to save lives.
Since its inception, The Alfred Foundation has played a major role in the realisation of significant projects including the Tattersall's Critical Care Complex, the Richard Turner Oncology and Haematology Ward, the Helen Macpherson Smith Burns Unit, the Cardiac and Thoracic Care Centre and The Alfred Centre.
