The Alfred's Secondary Student Work Experience Program 2010
The Alfred school work experience program provides students with an opportunity to gain insight into the health care industry.
The program is offered to students undertaking years 10-12. Students participating in the program are given an opportunity to spend one week working within available departments to observe and participate in the daily activities of those departments.
The department's that participate in our Work Experience program include:-
Please note will are unable to take placement students in the following areas: Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department, Operating Suites and Procedural Suites, including all Theatres and Procedural Rooms, Dental, Alfred Pathology Services and Patient and Family Services.
The Alfred offers a very small work experience program. Each year we receive about 200 requests for work experience and we only have approximately 20 places so we are unable to guarantee a place to all students.

TopThe Caulfield Hospital Secondary School Student Work Experience program provides students with an opportunity to gain an understanding and awareness of the role our Allied Health Departments have in making a difference to the lives of patients.
This program is offered to students undertaking years 10-12. Students participating in the program are given the opportunity to spend one week working in a variety of available Allied Health Departments to observe and participate in daily activities.

Sandringham Hospital is a community hospital with a strong focus on meeting the health care needs of its local community.
The Sandringham Secondary School Student Work Experience program provides students with an opportunity to gain an understanding and awareness of the role the hospital has in the delivery of elective surgery, general medical, emergency, women's health and maternity services.
This program is offered to students undertaking year 10 only. Students participating in the program are given the opportunity to spend one week working in a variety of departments at Sandringham Hospital to observe in daily activities.
