Hyperbaric Medicine

Registrar in Diving & Hyperbaric Medicine

6 or 12 Month Positions Available

The Alfred Hyperbaric Service is one of the world's most active and technologically advanced hyperbaric units, with a diverse and often complex case mix of acute and elective work. Critical care patient management experience is important and this position is therefore most suitable for mid to senior registrar level trainees in anaesthesia, intensive care or emergency medicine although we are open to other applicants. The casemix includes acute decompression illness, necrotising soft tissue infection, acute ischaemic wounds as well as management of chronic wounds of varying etiology.  The Alfred Hyperbaric Service is accredited for the practical component of the Diploma of Diving and Hyperbaric medicine.
