Fairfield House is a service within the Victorian HIV Service providing sub acute inpatient care and management and investigation of chronic medical issues.
The service offers a range of inpatient specialist assessments, investigations and treatment. It is located at The Alfred in a stand alone building.
A multidisciplinary team of health professionals support patients staying in Fairfield House.
The service has 15 single rooms each opening onto shared courtyards. Fairfield House has a kitchen for patients, families and visitors and laundry facilities.
Fairfield House does not admit treat urgent or emergency medical issues the acute service assesses and treats these issues.
Referral is required from a GP or health professional.
