Sandringham Hospital's General Medical Unit provides care for many types of patients, this is generally split into two groups Acute Medicine & Sub-Acute Medicine.

Consultant physicians care for patients in the General Medicine unit. Most of these physicians work at both Sandringham and The Alfred Hospitals as full time Acute/General physicians.
