Description of Service
The Public Affairs team is responsible for the following:
- Media Relations - we pitch good news stories to the media, so let us know if you're undertaking new research, working on a new program or know of an amazing patient story or staff achievement
- Internal and External Communications - we’re responsible for the monthly staff newsletters – Alfred Matters, Commlinks and Bayside Breeze, as well as The Weekly Info Pack, Annual Reviews, Fathers Day materials and Alfred Foundation publications
- Issues Management - we receive hundreds of media contacts each month on various issues affecting Alfred Health's three hospitals
- Community Relations - we work with the community on events such as the Bunnings Fathers' Day Appeal for The Alfred
- Events Management - We look after annual hospital events such as Alfred Week activities, Remembrance Day, Fathers Day events, Reward & Recognition and staff Christmas parties
